This policy explains what personal data we process in connection with Koalab Quote and this site (quote.koalab.tech), why, and how to exercise your rights. Koalab Sync has its own policy at koalab.tech/privacy. If this translation and the Spanish version differ, the Spanish version prevails.

Koalab Tech is the data controller under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and its regulations, and handles questions and complaints about your data directly.
2. What data we process
When you visit this site. The site has no forms or accounts and uses no cookies of its own. To count visits we use Vercel Web Analytics, which records each page view, the page you came from, your approximate country and region, browser, operating system and device type. It uses no cookies, does not keep your IP address and tells visitors apart with an identifier computed from the request that is discarded after 24 hours.
When you buy. Payment happens in the Freemius checkout, which may open over this page. Freemius collects your name, email, country and postal code, and your payment details, and shares with us your name, email, country, the plan you bought, your licenses and their payments. Your card details are handled by Freemius and its payment processors: we never see them. The checkout script is downloaded from Freemius when this page loads.
When you use the plugin. Koalab Quote runs inside your WordPress. Quotes, your customers' details and your orders are stored on your site and Koalab has no access to them. The plugin only sends information to Freemius if the site administrator allows it on the activation screen: the site address, the WordPress, PHP and plugin versions, the administrator's email and the active plugins and theme. Paid licenses are also validated with Freemius.
When you watch the video. The "How it works" video is on YouTube, in its privacy-enhanced mode: nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. From then on, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and browser data under its own policy.
When you write to us. What you send by email or WhatsApp: your name, number or email and the content of the message.
3. Why we use it
- To deliver and manage your license: activation, renewals, plan changes, refunds and invoices.
- To support you and answer your messages.
- To tell you about important changes to your license, to these documents or to the plugin's security.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site and the plugin are used, so we can improve them.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We only send you news or promotions with your permission, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal basis
We process your data with your authorization, given when you buy, when you allow the plugin to send information to Freemius or when you write to us; to perform the license agreement you enter into when you buy; and to meet legal obligations.
5. Who we share it with
- Freemius (United States): reseller and merchant of record; handles payments, licenses, invoices and updates. Its privacy policy.
- Vercel (United States): hosts this site and counts visits.
- Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation): our email service, to receive and answer what you write to us.
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you write to us there.
- YouTube (Google, United States): if you play the video on the page.
We may also hand data to an authority that requests it on a legal basis.
6. International transfers
The providers above are outside Colombia, mainly in the United States. When we use their services, your data is transferred to those countries, with each provider's security measures and for the purposes described here.
7. How long we keep it
Purchase and license data, for as long as your license exists and then for the time accounting and tax rules require. Support conversations, up to 2 years after the last message. Vercel's visit data is kept in aggregate.
8. Your rights
You can access, update and correct your data, ask for proof of the authorization you gave us, learn how we use it, revoke the authorization or ask us to delete it when there is no legal or contractual obligation to keep it, and file complaints with Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce after first contacting us.
Write to support@koalab.tech. We answer questions within 10 business days (extendable by 5, with notice) and complaints within 15 business days (extendable by 8), as Law 1581 requires. If you live in another country, we also honor the rights your data protection law gives you.
9. Security
This site is always served over HTTPS. Payments are processed in the Freemius checkout and never go through our servers. Access to purchase and support data is limited to those who need it to help you.
10. Minors
Koalab Quote is a product for businesses and is not aimed at anyone under 18. If you know a minor gave us data, write to us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is the one published on this page, with its date; if a change is important, we will email you.
